Facebook Stories Ads to Messenger Engagement

Facebook recently introduced an exciting new option for Stories ads that direct people who swipe up, directly to the Messenger platform.

This change was rolled out this week for Stories ads on Facebook, Instagram and the Messenger platforms. This is an impressive new addition. Once someone swipes up, they’re taken right to the messaging app where a business can start and engage in a conversation.

Facebook reports that 500 million people share Stories across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp Status every day, and over 40 million businesses are active on Messenger.

We expect that this will reap a nice benefit. Especially, when you consider the fact that 3 million brands run ads across Facebook and its family of apps every month and you can just imagine the potential.

Businesses place ads across a range of platforms like News Feed and Stories, which lead to an increase in their conversions. This particular trend also holds true when businesses add multiple Stories placements to their campaigns, as well. The tests show that when people also incorporated Messenger Stories to their Stories campaigns, seven out of nine brands realized an increase in their conversions. The results included an increase in app installs, add to carts, purchases or registrations, versus campaigns that opted into single Stories placements.
